These builds are designed around a 24-core Core Ultra 9 285K processor and an RTX 5090 32GB video card.

Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer needed a set of powerful new workstations to handle their growing professional workload that would last a long time.

These builds were designed for laser scanning and photogrammetry. These builds were designed specifically for Leica Register360, Pix4D, VCRASH, and Recap Pro.

This customer also purchased Forensic Rocky, Forensic Rocky 2, Forensic Rocky 3, Forensic Rocky 4, Forensic Rocky 5, Forensic Rocky 6, Forensic Rocky 7, and Forensic Rocky 8.

This build is based on our Core Ultra 9 Laser Scanning Workstation.

Design Rationale

  • The Core Ultra 9 285K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for editing and modeling, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks. It also handles high amounts of memory better than Ryzen 9000.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 240mm liquid cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer wanted to max the build out with 192GB of RAM.
  • The customer requested the same storage capacity from their previous order.
  • While the customer was fine with the performance of the RTX 4090, they didn’t want to pay for the market price at time of order, and opted to wait for the RTX 5090 to come out.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 1500W power supply was recommended.
  • We used our bigger mid-tower case to fit the build.
  • We used our high-end fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure.
