General System Design

This build is designed around a 24-core Core i9-14900HX processor and an RTX 4090 16GB video card.

Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer needed a new mobile workstation to handle their growing workload that would last a long time.

This build was designed for CAD, photogrammetry, and laser scanning with Recap, Revit, ArcGIS Pro, and other point cloud processing software.

This laptop workstation is similar to our Core Ultra 9 Photogrammetry Workstation.

Design Rationale

  • The Core i9-14900HX gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for general use, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • This laptop runs very fast and supports an external liquid cooling solution for additional performance (and reduced noise).
  • The customer was fine with our recommended memory setup.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended storage setup.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended video card.
