Design Rationale

  • The Threadripper 9970X gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for general use, and significant multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm liquid cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer requested 64GB of memory.
  • The customer requested a single 1TB NVME drive.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended video card.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended power supply.
  • We used a larger mid-tower case to fit the build.
