This build is designed specifically for animators, enabling them to smoothly animate and model the game, knowing that they won’t be doing any producing or compiling.

This customer previously ordered Spector 3, Lasseter 3, Lasseter 4, and Torvalds 3.

Design Rationale

  • The Ryzen 9 9950X3D gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for general use and gaming, and more multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm liquid cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality. They requested 10G networking, and verified that the motherboard was compatible with their PXE needs.
  • The customer agreed with our recommendation for memory.
  • The customer was mostly fine with our recommended storage setup, upgrading the second drive from 4TB to 8TB.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended video card.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended power supply.
  • We used a larger mid-tower case to fit the build. The customer requested a model without a glass panel.
