Design Rationale

  • The Ryzen 7 9800X3D gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for high end gaming, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, a 360mm cooler is recommended
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer requested 64GB of RAM, to guard against increased pricing in the future.
  • The customer mostly agreed with our storage recommendation, boosting the OS drive to 2TB.
  • The customer requested a lower-cost GPU, in order to spend more money on RAM.
  • We recommended a 1000W power supply based on the overall design of the build.
  • We used our larger mid-tower case to fit the parts and give solid airflow.
