Design Rationale

  • The i9-12900K gave the customer a great amount of single-core and multi-core performance for heavy UAV scan processing workloads. Lighter workloads would be tasked to the i7 builds.
  • To ensure the i9-12900K ran at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm AIO was recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer wanted at least 64GB of RAM.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended storage setup.
  • For maximum stability in their CAD workflow, a professional video card was recommended. As the lighter CAD workloads were being handled by i7+A2000 12GB systems, an A4000 16GB was recommended here.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 1000W Gold power supply was recommended.
  • We used our default mid-tower case to fit the Z690 motherboard
  • We used high-pressure fans to ensure proper cooling for the overall build.
