Design Rationale

  • The i7-13700K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for editing, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks. It also gave them an easy upgrade path.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm liquid cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer agreed with our recommendation to start with 64GB of RAM, 96GB+ was an easy upgrade.
  • The customer was mostly fine with our default storage setup, opting for a smaller main drive for cost reasons.
  • We initially recommended the RTX 4080 Super, but settled on the RTX 4070Ti Super for cost reasons.
  • While the overall design of the build only needs a 1000W power supply, we recommended a 1200W to easily handle a higher-end GPU.
  • The customer requested a case without a glass panel.
  • We used our highest-end fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure.
