Design Rationale

  • The Ryzen 5 9600X gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for editing, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks. It also gave them an easy upgrade path.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, air cooling with a single-tower cooler is recommended, we opted for a dual-tower to allow for easier CPU upgrades in the future.
  • The customer wanted a current-gen motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer agreed with our recommendation to start with 64GB of RAM, 96GB+ was an easy upgrade.
  • The customer was fine with our default storage setup.
  • We initially recommended the RTX 4070Ti Super, but settled on the RTX 4060Ti for cost reasons.
  • While the overall design of the build only needs a 850W power supply, we recommended a 1200W to easily handle a higher-end GPU.
  • We used our bigger mid-tower case to fit the build.
  • We used our highest-end fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure.
