Design Rationale

  • The Ryzen 5 2600X gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for gaming and editing, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, air cooling with a single-tower cooler is recommended. Dual-tower is more powerful, but not needed.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer wanted at least 16GB of RAM, 32GB was an easy upgrade.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended storage setup.
  • For solid gaming and editing performance at the budget level, we recommended the GTX 1660Ti.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 550W power supply was recommended.
  • We used our default mid-tower case to fit the build.
  • We used our default fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure.

Customer Review

“I purchased a new computer from Chris and I can’t be more happy with it. As a gamer, I’ve always wanted a custom computer and Chris was able to provide the expertise to design and build it.

I would happily return to Top Flight Computers for an upgrade or new computer down the road and I highly recommend them.”
