This build is designed around a 24-core Core Ultra 9 285K processor and an RTX 5090 32GB video card.

Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer needed a powerful new workstation to handle their growing professional workload that would last a long time.

This build was designed for laser scanning and photogrammetry in Leica Register360, Pix4D, VCRASH, and Recap Pro.

This build is based on our Core Ultra 9 Laser Scanning Workstation.

Design Rationale

  • The Core Ultra 9 285K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for editing and modeling, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm liquid cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer requested the same 192GB of RAM as before.
  • The customer requested the same storage capacity from their previous order.
  • The customer requested the RTX 5090 as on their previous order.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 1500W power supply was recommended.
  • We used our bigger mid-tower case to fit the build.
