These builds are designed around a 24-core Core Ultra 9 285K processor and 256GB of DDR5 memory.

Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer needed 2 powerful new workstations to handle their growing professional workload that would last a long time.

These builds are designed for laser scanning and photogrammetry in Leica Register360, Pix4D, VCRASH, and Recap Pro.

The customer supplied us with an RTX 4070Ti Super 16GB for 1 system, and an RTX 4090 24GB for the other system.

This build is based on our Core Ultra 9 Laser Scanning Workstation.

Design Rationale

  • The Core Ultra 9 285K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for editing and modeling, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm liquid cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer opted to upgrade to 256GB of RAM.
  • The customer requested the same storage capacity from their previous order.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 1500W power supply was recommended.
  • We used our bigger mid-tower case to fit the build.
