This build is designed around a 32-core Threadripper Pro 7975WX processor and an RTX 4070Ti Super 16GB video card.

Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer needed a powerful new workstation to handle their growing professional workload that would last a long time.

This build was designed for CPU-based simulations and rendering.

This customer also purchased Forensic Rocky, Forensic Rocky 2, Forensic Rocky 3, Forensic Rocky 4, Forensic Rocky 5, Forensic Rocky 6, and Forensic Rocky 7.

This build is loosely based on our Threadripper Animation Workstation and was ordered as a set with Forensic Rocky 7.

Design Rationale

  • The Threadrip​​​p​er Pro ​​7​975WX gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for editing, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm liquid cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer wanted to have at least 256GB of RAM, more RAM was an easy upgrade.
  • The customer requested a bigger 4TB storage drive.
  • The customer preferred the RTX 4070Ti Super for at least 16GB VRAM, and more performance than an RTX 4060Ti Super.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 1500W power supply was recommended.
  • We used our bigger full-tower case to fit the build.
  • We used our highest-end fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure.
