This build is designed around a 8-core Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor and an RTX 4080 Super 16GB video card.

Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer wanted a powerful 1440p gaming PC to handle their games that would last a long time.

This customer came to us wanting something more powerful and preferred to spend money locally.

This build was influenced by our 1440p/240hz Gaming Computer.

Design Rationale

  • The Ryzen 7 7800X3D gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for lightly-threaded workloads, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, air cooling with a high-end tower cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • We recommended 64GB RAM for the particular needs, more RAM is an easy upgrade for the customer to handle.
  • The customer agreed with our dual-drive storage recommendation.
  • The customer requested an RTX 4080 Super for long-term gaming power.
  • We recommended a 1000W power supply based on the overall design of the build.
  • We used a smaller mid-tower case to fit the parts and give solid airflow.
