Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer was looking for a set of dedicated workstations to assist with various CAD and content creation needs.

This build is designed for Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, and InDesign. This order was for 2 identical PCs.

This build is similar to The Petite Albert.

Design Rationale

  • The Ryzen 7 7700X gave the customer a good amount of single-core performance for lightly-threaded loads, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks. It also matched the spec of other computers in the office that they were happy with.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed in the smaller case, liquid cooling with a 240mm liquid cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with room for memory expansion and decent storage functionality. It also fit in the case that was requested.
  • The customer requested 32GB of memory.
  • The customer wanted a dual-layer storage setup; 1TB NVME for OS+programs and 1TB NVME for main storage.
  • The customer requested an RTX 3060 12GB video card.
  • We recommended an SFX 850W Gold power supply.
  • The customer requested a specific case.
  • We used high-end fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure in the small case.
