This customer needed a powerful new workstation to handle their growing professional workload that would last a long time.

This build was designed for Carlson.

This build was influenced by our Core Ultra 9 Photogrammetry Workstation.

Design Rationale

  • The Core Ultra 9 285K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for editing and modeling, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm liquid cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer requested 64GB of memory, more memory is easy for them to do on their own.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended storage setup.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended video card.
  • We recommended a 1000W power supply to allow for easy upgrades in the future.
  • We used our bigger mid-tower case to fit the build.
