This build is designed around a 24-core i9-14900K processor and an RTX 5000 ADA 32GB video card.

Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer was looking for a set of dedicated workstations to assist with various engineering and design needs.

This build is designed for Inventor, Revit, Navisworks, Adobe, and Faro. This order was for 6 identical PCs.

This customer also purchased Super Tower of Power, DEVR 1, DEVR 2, DEVR 3, Accelerated Design, Tryscannosaurus Rex, Mascanodon, Triscanatops, Saber Tooth Scanner, Pterodascanyl, Dragonscanzord, and Alpha 1.

Design Rationale

  • The i9-14900K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for lightly-threaded loads, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 420mm liquid cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with room for 192GB RAM and 4 SATA SSDs. Onboard 10G networking was a plus.
  • The customer wanted to max the build out with 192GB RAM.
  • The customer wanted a dual-layer storage setup; 2TB NVME for OS+programs and 4x4TB SSD RAID0 for main storage.
  • The customer requested an RTX 5000 ADA 32GB video card.
  • We recommended a 1200W power supply.
  • We used a larger mid-tower case to fit the build. This allows for a great deal of storage to be added in the future.
  • We used our highest-end fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure.
