General System Design

This build is designed around a 24-core i9-13900K processor and an RTX 4080 Super 16GB video card.

Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer needed a powerful new workstation to handle their growing professional workload that would last a long time.

This custom CAD workstation is designed for Revit, AutoCAD, Lumion, Photoshop, InDesign, and Bluebeam, and gaming.

This build was influenced by our i9 Photogrammetry Workstation, and the customer was referred to us by the Mizerys Monster customer.

Design Rationale

  • The i9-13900K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for general use, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer was fine with our default memory setup.
  • The customer was fine with our default storage setup.
  • The RTX 4080 Super worked best for the customers immediate needs, the large case and upgraded PSU allowed for easy GPU upgrades in the future.
  • While the overall design of the build meant that a 1000W power supply was needed, we recommended the 1200W for an easier GPU upgrade path (small cost add).
  • We used our bigger mid-tower case to fit the build.
  • We used our highest-end fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure.
