This build was designed for SolidWorks, ANSYS Structural, CFX, and Fluent.

This build was influenced by our Core Ultra 9 CAD Workstation.

Design Rationale

  • The Core Ultra 9 285K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for general use, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard, a good amount of desktop functionality, and support for 2 video cards in the future.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended memory setup.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended storage setup, giving him lots of room for large files, and speeding up SolidWorks boot time.
  • The customer already had an RTX A5000 24GB that will be used in this build.
  • While the build only needs an 1000W power supply, a 1600W gives the user more room for future GPU upgrades.
  • We used our larger mid-tower case for solid airflow and minimalistic design.
