Design Rationale

  • The Ryzen 9 9950X3D gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for general use, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality, and support for multiple NVME SSDs and 256GB RAM.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended memory setup.
  • The customer requested a 2TB OS+program drive, 2TB of AE Cache, and 4TB project drive.
  • We recommended an RTX 5080 for the overall GPU performance in After Effects, and not needing massive VRAM for MFR jobs.
  • We recommended a 1500W power supply based on the design of the build.
  • We used our regular mid-tower case for solid airflow and minimalistic design.
