This build was designed for photogrammetry and CAD in Pix4D and AutoCAD.

This build is based on our Core Ultra 9 Photogrammetry Workstation.

Design Rationale

  • The Core Ultra 9 285K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for editing and modeling, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks. It also handles high amounts of memory better than Ryzen 9000.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm liquid cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer agreed with our recommendation for memory, this gives them a great upgrade path.
  • The customer was fine with our default storage setup.
  • The customer was fine with our GPU recommendation.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 1000W power supply was recommended.
  • We used our bigger mid-tower case to fit the build.
