This build is designed around a 20-core i7-14700K processor and an RTX 4090 24GB video card.

Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer needed a powerful new gaming computer to handle their games and professional workload that would last a long time.

This build was designed for use in Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077, Alan Wake 2, and audio development.

This build was influenced by our 4K/240hz Gaming Computer.

Design Rationale

  • The i7-14700K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for lightly-threaded workloads, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm liquid cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • We recommended 32GB RAM for the particular workflow, 64GB+ is an easy upgrade for the customer to handle.
  • The customer agreed with our dual-drive storage recommendation.
  • While we originally presented an RTX 4080, they ultimately decided on an RTX 4090 for extra power in the future.
  • We recommended a 1200W power supply based on the overall design of the build.
  • We used our bigger mid-tower case to fit the build.
  • We used our highest-end fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure.
