Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer was looking for a new gaming computer that would last a long time and could be easily upgraded over time.

This system is designed for use in 4K/240hz gaming in War Thunder, Battlefield 5, Hell Let Loose, Scum, Project Zomboid, Arma Reforger, Arma 3, and Squad 1944.

This build is based on our 4K/240hz Flight Simulator Gaming Computer.

Design Rationale

  • The Ryzen 9 9950X3D gave the customer a superior amount of single-core performance for high end gaming, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks. This will last the customer a very long time.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, a 360mm cooler is recommended
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer agreed with our recommendation for long-term memory. 128GB is also an easy upgrade for them to do on their own.
  • The customer agreed with our storage recommendation.
  • The customer agreed with our recommendation for a video card.
  • We recommended a 1200W power supply based on the overall design of the build.
  • We used our larger mid-tower case to fit the parts and give solid airflow.
