Description

RoboSmart 101 is a machine learning workstation, designed around a 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X processor and an RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell 96GB Workstation video card.

General System Design

This build is designed around a 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X processor and an RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell 96GB Workstation video card.

Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer needed a powerful new workstation to handle their growing professional workload that would last a long time.

This AI startup needed a value-minded workstation for computer vision and machine learning, built around the Nvidia RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell 96GB Workstation GPU. The budget for this first purchase was tight, making Threadripper+ not viable.

As they win contracts, they’ll expand their hardware.

This build was influenced by our Ryzen 9 AI Inference 96B Workstation.

Design Rationale

  • The Ryzen 9 9950X gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for general use, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality, and support for multiple NVME SSDs and 256GB RAM.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended memory setup.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended storage setup.
  • The customer is sourcing the GPU elsewhere, and came to us needing a system built around it.
  • We recommended a 1500W power supply based on the design of the build.
  • We used our regular mid-tower case for solid airflow and minimalistic design.
