This build is designed around a 24-core Core Ultra 9 275​HX processor and an RTX 5090 Mobile 24GB video card.

Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer needed a powerful laptop workstation to handle their growing professional workload that would last a long time.

This workstation is designed for CAD modeling, photogrammetry, and laser scanning in Trimble Business Center.

This laptop was ordered with RockStation D for High End Data Prep and Takeoff workflows.

This build was influenced by our HYDROC G2 16 Core Ultra 9 RTX 5090 128GB Laptop.

Design Rationale

  • The Ul​tra​ 9 275​HX gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for general use, multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks, and solid support for 2 memory sticks.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended memory setup.
  • The customer was mostly fine with our recommended storage setup, upgrading the OS drive to Gen5.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended video card.
