General System Design

This system is designed around a 8-core i9-9900K processor and an RTX 2080Ti 11GB video card.

Software Workload/Customer Need

This machine replaces our Spectre v1 customer build. This customer was looking for a new powerful 4K gaming computer that would last a long time and be easily upgraded over time.

Design Rationale

  • The i9-9900K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for gaming and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • We used the existing 360mm RGB AIO.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • We used the existing memory.
  • The customer requested a 1TB NVME OS drive and 2TB NVME main drive.
  • We recommended the RTX 2080Ti for gaming performance.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 850W power supply was recommended.
  • We used the existing case.
  • We used our high-end RGB fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure.
