This build is designed around a 24-core Core Ultra 9 285K processor and an RTX 5070Ti 16GB video card.

Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer needed a powerful new workstation to handle their growing professional workload that would last a long time.

This build was designed for laser scanning and CAD in Revit, ReCap, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Leica TruView.

This build is based on our Core Ultra 9 Laser Scanning Workstation.

Design Rationale

  • The Core Ultra 9 285K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for editing and modeling, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks. It also handles high amounts of memory better than Ryzen 9000.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm liquid cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer requested 128GB of memory, opting for a faster frequency and additional cooling.
  • The customer requested a single 4TB Gen5 NVME SSD.
  • The customer requested an RTX 5070Ti 16GB. This was the cheapest way to get the most VRAM possible, while also having decent GPU compute.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 1200W power supply was recommended.
  • We used our bigger mid-tower case to fit the build.
