This build is designed around a 24-core Core Ultra 9 285K processor and an RTX 5060Ti 16GB video card.

Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer needed a powerful new workstation to handle their growing professional workload that would last a long time.

This build was designed for AutoCAD and Revit.

This customer previously purchased Station 266, and this machine was ordered as a set of Station 269, Station 270, Station 271, and Station 272.

Design Rationale

  • The Core Ultra 9 285K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for editing and modeling, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks. It also handles high amounts of memory better than Ryzen 9000.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm liquid cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer requested 64GB of memory, more memory is easy for them to do on their own.
  • The customer requested a single 1TB Gen5 NVME SSD.
  • The customer requested an RTX 5060Ti 16GB.
  • While the overall design of the build only needed an 850W PSU, we recommended a 1200W to allow for easy upgrades in the future.
  • We used our bigger mid-tower case to fit the build.
