Design Rationale

  • The i9-14900K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for editing, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm liquid cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality, support for 2 GPUs, and Thunderbolt 4.
  • The customer wanted at  least 64GB of RAM, 128GB+ was an easy upgrade.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended setup for storage.
  • The customer preferred the RTX 4080 for near-maximum general-purpose GPU compute, and a large amount of VRAM. The 4090 was considered, but cost more than the customer wanted to spend.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 1200W power supply was recommended.
  • We used our bigger mid-tower case to fit the build.
  • We used our highest-end fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure.

Customer Review

“Amazing company, purchase, and experience!

I just recently ordered a computer from Top Flight. It has been a flawless experience.

I have been using this computer for a few weeks and I am very very pleased with the results of the computer that they built me and the process to find the best build for my use.

I talked to a larger company about potentially helping me build a computer. This large company was helpful, but it felt like they were trying to sell/market to me and not actually help me understand my needs.

I ended up going with Top Flight because of the personalization and expertise they offered me. They were not interested in selling me a particular product, they were more interested in what I was needing the computer for short-term and long-term. I was VERY satisfied with all of my conversations with them and every step of the process.

I like that I have made a purchase for the short-term that exceeds what I am using the computer for (THAT IS BLAZING FAST!) and I like that I have invested in a system that will be able to be upgraded for years to come!”
