This build is designed around a 20-core Xeon W7-2475X processor and an RTX A5000 24GB video card.

Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer needed a set of 4 powerful new servers to handle their growing professional workload that would last a long time.

These builds were designed for laser scanning and photogrammetry. These builds were designed specifically for Recap, Trimble, Agisoft, Pix4D, Virtual Surveyor, and Civil3D.

This customer previously purchased Tron.

Design Rationale

  • The Xeon W7-2475X gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for editing, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm liquid cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of expansion.
  • The customer wanted to start with 256GB of RAM, and didn’t want last-gen tech.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended storage setup.
  • We recommended the RTX A5000 for high general-purpose GPU compute, a large amount of VRAM, controlled power draw, and directed heat dissipation.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 1200W power supply was recommended.
  • We used our standard rack case to fit the build.
  • We used our highest-end fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure.
