Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer was looking for a new powerful 1440p/240hz gaming computer that would last a long time and be easily upgraded over time.

Design Rationale

  • The i9-9900K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for gaming, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm AIO is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer wanted at least 32GB of RAM, and wanted RGB for visual appeal.
  • The customer was fine with a single drive storage setup.
  • The customer had already purchased the GPUs, which are great for 1440p/240hz gaming. These multi-fan models don’t do very well in a multi-GPU build however, with small thermal throttling taking place.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 1000W power supply was recommended.
  • The customer requested a specific case for the build
  • We used our high-end RGB fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure.
