Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer needed a powerful new workstation to handle their growing professional workload that would last a long time.

This build was designed for online applications, web browsing, and light gaming.

This build is similar to The Looking Glass Engine and Forensic Rocky 11.

Design Rationale

  • The Ryzen 5 9600X gave the customer a good amount of single-core performance for lightly-threaded workloads, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks. It also worked very well for the budget.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, a dual-tower cooler is recommended
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer agreed with our recommendation for 32GB RAM.
  • The customer mostly agreed with our storage recommendation, downgrading one drive to 1TB.
  • The customer requested an RTX 5060Ti 16GB.
  • We recommended a 850W power supply based on the overall design of the build.
  • We used our normal mid-tower case to fit the parts and give solid airflow.
