Design Rationale

  • The i9-13900K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for editing, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm AIO is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality and 10G networking.
  • The customer wanted to max the build out with 192GB of RAM, and didn’t want last-gen tech.
  • The customer requested a 4TB NVME for OS, a 4TB NVME for main storage, and an 8TB NVME for long-term storage. The all-NVME setup allows for very fast file transfers.
  • We recommended a single RTX 4090 for editing and rendering performance, with a hybrid cooler to reduce the size of the case and save on weight.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 1200W power supply was recommended.
  • We used our default mid-tower case to fit the build.
  • We used our highest-end fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure.

Customer Review

“Working with Chris and his team was a great experience.

They put together a desktop for us that met our budget and had the right specs for our needs. Chris was always accessible and had a solid understanding, and he took the time to thoroughly answer any questions I had.

I definitely plan on working with Top Flight Computers again in the future.”
