Design Rationale

  • The i9-13900K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for general use, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer saw the default memory setup on our i9 DaVinci Resolve Workstation and elected to have that on his new long-term workstation.
  • The customer was fine with our default storage setup.
  • The RTX 4080 Super worked best for the customers immediate needs, the large case and upgraded PSU allowed for easy GPU upgrades in the future.
  • While the overall design of the build meant that a 1000W power supply was needed, we recommended the 1200W for an easier GPU upgrade path (small cost add).
  • We used our alternate mid-tower case to fit the build.
  • We used our highest-end fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure.
