Design Rationale

  • The i7-13700K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for 1440p/120hz gaming and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, air cooling with a dual-tower cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer wanted at least 32GB of RAM and didn’t want last-gen tech.
  • The customer upgraded the main storage drive from 1TB to 2TB based on personal needs.
  • Based on the performance needs and budget, we recommended the RTX 3090 24GB.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 1000W power supply was recommended.
  • We used a special mid-tower case to fit the build and give the customer a modern case with optical drive support.
  • We used our default fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure.

Customer Review

“I found Top Flight Computers when looking for something more that the run-of-mill out-of-box computer with a little more power for gaming as well as everyday use. It had been over a decade and I was due for an upgrade.

I found them online after reading all the positive reviews. After submitting my specs – I had an initial chat with Chris on what I was looking to do. We discussed, put together a package, and we were off and running.

A few weeks later the computer was done and I had it in my possession. I could not have been happier. But this is where the story of how exceptional Top Flight Computers really begins.

As I was setting it up, downloading games, setting up iTunes, Windows, Office, etc…and testing things out – a bios error popped up and locked the computer. It was after business hours – we took a picture and emailed them figuring we’d hear the next day on how we could proceed.

To our surprise, we got a phone call that night from Chris. After walking through some steps, we realized we needed to get this computer back in his hands.

Chris made time on his off-hours on a Saturday to meet up at his store location. We drove up and he was already on site when we arrived early. He immediately got to work on the computer.

Even more exceptional was that an employee (Andrew) also came in when it looked like the problem was a bit deeper than initially thought (it was determined to be a faulty manufactured part).

We decided to leave the computer with them so they could thoroughly address the issues without having us hang over them. The following week, we had several communications discussing progress and collaborating on testing the system.

The computer was shipped back and no problems.

A lot of times, when a review is left – it’s a perfect type of transaction but that is not always the case. There are things that sometimes just happen that are outside the control of both parties. It’s reassuring to know that the team of Top Flight will go above and beyond and give the necessary support to their customers.

Check out their website and when you see the custom computers that they built, know that the owner of the one named Nightstar is exceptionally happy with his system and with Top Flight Computers.

Thank you again Chris and Andrew.”
