Design Rationale

  • The Ryzen 9 5900X gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for gaming and editing, and multicore performance for stream encoding and heavier-threaded workloads.
  • While air cooling was sufficient for the CPU, the customer preferred the sleek look of liquid cooling.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer wanted at least 32GB of RAM, white body with RGB.
  • The customer was mostly fine with our default storage setup, only adding a 2TB HDD.
  • Knowing the overall workflow and specific uses, an RTX 3080 was recommended. Gaming was more important than gaming+streaming, and streaming could be handled by the CPU.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 850W Gold power supply was recommended, we found a version with white cables.
  • We used a white version of our default mid-tower case to fit the motherboard
  • We used high-pressure white fans with RGB to ensure proper cooling for the overall build.

Customer Review

“Top Flight Computers made my PC dream a reality. I’d been saving up to replace an 11 year old system that was making photo editing and gaming less than fun.

Chris worked with me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted and I could not be happier with the final product. It’s amazing to sit down at my PC and be able to enjoy editing again. Being able to play any and every game my heart desires doesn’t hurt either.

Thank you very much Top Flight Computers.”
