Design Rationale

  • The Core Ultra 9 285K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for general use, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality, and support for dual Gen5 NVME SSDs.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended memory setup.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended storage setup, giving him lots of room for large files, and speeding up SolidWorks boot time.
  • We recommended the RTX 5000 ADA 32GB to be compatible with SolidWorks, give the user plenty of GPU-based render power, and stay under the PCard budget.
  • We recommended a 1200W power supply based on the design of the build.
  • We used our regular mid-tower case for solid airflow and minimalistic design.
