This build is designed around a 8-core Ryzen 7 9700X processor and an RTX 5060 8GB video card.

Software Workload/Customer Need

This customer needed a powerful new workstation that would last a long time.

This build was designed for Photoshop and Quickbooks, with a white RGB visual theme desired.

Several considerations were taken into account, including: white coloring, glass panel, and twin 5.25” bays.

This customer previously purchased Violet, and this build is similar to Echo Base.

Design Rationale

  • The Ryzen 7 9700X gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for lightly-threaded workloads and the upgrade path is much better than older parts.
  • While the CPU doesn’t require a 360mm liquid cooler, this maintains the visual appeal desired by the customer.
  • The customer wanted a stable white motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer wanted at least 32GB of white RGB RAM, additional capacity was an easy upgrade.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended storage setup.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended video card, we found a white model as well.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 850W power supply was recommended.
  • To integrate a glass panel, multiple front-mounted drives, a 360mm AIO, and white interior, we used the Fractal Design Pop XL Air White.
  • We used our default white RGB fans to provide solid airflow and fit the visual appeal of the build.
