Design Rationale

  • The i9-10900X gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for editing, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks. It also gave the customer a great upgrade path to the i9-10980XE.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm AIO is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer wanted at least 32GB of RAM, additional capacity was an easy upgrade.
  • The customer upgraded the main drive from 1TB to 2TB, and added a 2TB SSD for long-term storage.
  • The customer wanted a video card more reliable than consumer-grade, and wanted something with at least 8GB VRAM, so we recommended the Quadro RTX 4000 8GB.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 750W power supply was recommended.
  • To integrate a glass panel, multiple front-mounted drives, a 360mm AIO, and white interior, we used the Phanteks Enthoo Pro Tempered Glass Special Edition.
  • While we recommended using our high-performing fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure, the customer wanted RGB models for visual appeal.
