Design Rationale

  • The i7-9700K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for gaming, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, air cooling with a single-tower cooler is recommended. A dual-tower cooler is more powerful, but not needed.
  • The customer wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The customer wanted at least 16GB of RAM, 32GB was an easy upgrade.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended storage setup.
  • The customer was fine with our recommended video card
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 750W power supply was recommended, the customer opted for 1200W to accomodate for 2 GPUs in the future.
  • We used a bigger mid-tower case to fit the build.
  • We used our black fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure.
