Design Rationale

  • The i9-14900K gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for general use, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks. The onboard QuickSync encoder was also helpful for various video editing tasks.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 360mm cooler is recommended.
  • The customer wanted a motherboard that supported an RTX 4090 and at least 1 Blackmagic 8K Pro capture card.
  • The customer wanted at least 128GB of RAM, 192GB was an easy upgrade.
  • The customer wanted a 1TB NVME OS drive and 4TB NVME main storage drive.
  • The RTX 4090 worked best for the customers immediate needs, and swapping out GPUs for an RTX 6000 ADA in the future to allow for LED walls was easy to do.
  • The overall design of the build meant that an 1200W power supply was recommended.
  • We used our 5U server case to fit the build.
  • We used our highest-end fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure.
