Software Workload/Customer Need

Our YemFlyer v1 customer was looking for some upgrades to their 1080p/144hz gaming computer that would make gaming and live streaming at the same time easier to do.

Design Rationale

  • The Ryzen 7 3700X gave the customer a great amount of single-core performance for gaming, and multicore performance for heavily-threaded tasks.
  • We reused the existing air cooler.
  • We reused the existing motherboard.
  • We reused the existing memory.
  • We reused the existing storage.
  • We used the RTX 2080 for increased gaming and streaming performance.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 750W power supply was recommended.
  • We reused the existing case.
  • We reused the existing fans.
