Design Rationale

  • The i7-4770K gave the user a great amount of single-core performance for gaming.
  • To ensure the CPU runs at full speed, liquid cooling with a 240mm AIO is recommended.
  • The user wanted a stable motherboard with a good amount of desktop functionality.
  • The user wanted at least 16GB of RAM, with room for 32GB.
  • At the time, SSD was still very expensive, so the user did a modest storage setup.
  • The user changed the video cards quite a bit over time, eventually sticking with a single GPU.
  • The overall design of the build meant that a 750W power supply was recommended.
  • We used a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv Tempered Glass to fit the build.
  • We used our high-end RGB fans to ensure proper airflow and static pressure.
