Ryzen 9 After Effects Workstation Overview
This Ryzen 9 After Effects Workstation is built around the Ryzen 9 9950X with an RTX 5080 16GB video card.
This combination provides a very powerful solution for medium MFR workloads and GPU-accelerated plugins.
For connectivity, this machine has several USB ports (including a few Type C) on the front and back and can be upgraded to have 10G networking (requires a more expensive motherboard). It also has room for a Blackmagic DeckLink video monitoring card or other add-on cards if desired.
Ryzen 9 After Effects Workstation Upgrades/Changes
This motherboard can hold 4 PCIe 4.0 m2 NVME drives at the same time, and the case can support a number of SSD and/or HDD drives. If you want separate drives for OS/programs, project files/cache, dedicated cache, and long-term storage, please let us know.
If you need more than 256GB of RAM, we recommend a build based on Threadripper, as it supports ECC memory. 384GB is the highest we can go on Threadripper non-Pro, without resorting to EXTREMELY expensive 128GB or 256GB DIMMs. 768GB is the highest we can normally go on Threadripper Pro, for the same reasons.

Ryzen 9 After Effects Workstation Limitations
This platform is currently limited to 32 threads, 3 PCIe devices, and 256GB of memory. Please let us know if you need a more robust platform.
