Ryzen 9 Premiere Pro Workstation Overview
This Ryzen 9 Premiere Pro Workstation is built around the Ryzen 9 9950X with an RTX 5070 12GB video card.
This combination provides a very powerful overall solution for workflows using H.264 and H.265 codecs.
It may not have quite as much CPU power as our Threadripper Premiere Pro Workstation, but it can easily power through lower-weight workloads.
For connectivity, this machine has several USB ports (including a few Type C) on the front and back and can be upgraded to have 10G networking (requires a more expensive motherboard). It also has room for a Blackmagic DeckLink video monitoring card or other add-on cards if desired.
Ryzen 9 Premiere Pro Workstation Upgrades/Changes
This motherboard can hold 4 PCIe 4.0 m2 NVME drives at the same time, and the case can support a number of SSD and/or HDD drives. If you want separate drives for OS/programs, project files/cache, dedicated cache, and long-term storage, please let us know.
If you need more than 256GB of RAM, we recommend a build based on Threadripper, as it supports ECC memory. 384GB is the highest we can go on Threadripper non-Pro, without resorting to EXTREMELY expensive 128GB or 256GB DIMMs. 768GB is the highest we can normally go on Threadripper Pro, for the same reasons.
If you need Thunderbolt capability, we recommend our Core Ultra 9 Premiere Pro system.
Ryzen 9 Premiere Pro Workstation Limitations
This platform is currently limited to 32 threads, 3 PCIe devices, and 256GB of memory. Please let us know if you need a more robust platform.
