Ryzen 9 Software Development Workstation Overview

This Ryzen 9 Software Development Workstation is built around the Ryzen 9 9950X an RTX 3060 12GB video card.

This combination provides a very powerful solution for heavy code compiling workloads that don’t leverage GPU acceleration.

Ryzen 9 Software Development Workstation Upgrades/Changes

If your workflow benefits from GPU acceleration, we recommend at least the RTX 4070Ti Super 16GB.

If you need more than 256GB of RAM, we recommend a build based on Threadripper, as it supports ECC memory. 384GB is the highest we can go on Threadripper non-Pro, without resorting to EXTREMELY expensive 128GB or 256GB DIMMs. 768GB is the highest we can normally go on Threadripper Pro, for the same reasons.

Ryzen 9 Software Development Workstation Limitations

This platform is currently limited to 32 threads, 1 GPU, and 256GB of memory. Please let us know if you need a more robust platform.
