Threadripper 9000 DaVinci Resolve Workstation Overview
This Threadripper 9000 DaVinci Resolve Workstation is built around the Threadripper 9960X with an RTX 5090 32GB video card.
This combination provides a very powerful solution for heavy RED/RAW and GPU-accelerated workloads.
Threadripper 9000 DaVinci Resolve Workstation Upgrades/Changes
Alongside the powerful AMD Threadripper processor and multiple Nvidia GPUs, this system also supports a host of storage options and up to 1TB of DDR5 ECC RAM for situations where lots of memory is needed. However, be aware that this platform does NOT support Thunderbolt. If Thunderbolt is something you need, we recommend using our Core Ultra 9 DaVinci Resolve workstation instead.
If you need more than 32GB of VRAM, or need more than 2 GPUs, we recommend the RTX ADA/RTX Pro Blackwell line.
If you need more than 384GB of RAM, we recommend a build based on Threadripper Pro, as it has twice as many memory slots and channels. 384GB is the highest we can go on Threadripper non-Pro, without resorting to EXTREMELY expensive 128GB or 256GB DIMMs. 768GB is the highest we can normally go on Threadripper Pro, for the same reasons (peaking at 2TB via 8x256GB).
Threadripper 9000 DaVinci Resolve Workstation Limitations
This platform is currently limited to 192 threads, 4 GPUs, and 1TB of ECC memory. Please let us know if you need a more robust platform.
