Threadripper 9000 Visual Effects Workstation Overview
This Threadripper 9000 Visual Effects Workstation is built around the Threadripper 9970X with an RTX 5090 32GB video card. We can upgrade the GPU to an RTX 5090 32GB, it will add quite a bit of cost.
This combination provides a very powerful solution for extremely complex 3D workloads in 3DS Max, Maya, Blender, Cinema 4D, Houdini, Octane, Redshift, Keyshot, and VRay.
Threadripper 9000 Visual Effects Workstation Upgrades/Changes
If your workflow benefits from a professional-grade GPU, we recommend the RTX Pro 5000 Blackwell 48GB or RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell 96GB.
384GB of RAM is the highest we can go on Threadripper non-Pro, without resorting to EXTREMELY expensive 128GB or 256GB DIMMs. 768GB is the highest we can normally go on Threadripper Pro, for the same reasons. 2.25TB is the highest we can go on dual-EPYC, for the same reasons.
Threadripper 9000 Visual Effects Workstation Limitations
This platform is currently limited to 192 threads, 4 GPUs, and 1TB of ECC memory. Please let us know if you need a more robust platform.
