Overview of Recommended Hardware for DaVinci Resolve (Threadripper 7000)
This Threadripper 7000 DaVinci Resolve Workstation is built around the Threadripper 7970X with an RTX 4090 24GB video card. This combination provides a very powerful solution for heavy RED/RAW and GPU-accelerated workloads.
If you need more than 384GB of RAM, we recommend a build based on Threadripper Pro 7000, as it has twice as many memory slots and channels. 384GB is the highest we can go on Threadripper non-Pro, without resorting to EXTREMELY expensive 128GB or 256GB DIMMs.
Threadripper 7000 DaVinci Resolve Workstation Limitations
This platform is currently limited to 192 threads, 4 GPUs, and 1TB of ECC memory. Please let us know if you need a more robust platform.
